The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG) is pleased to announce the  addition of the Philomath Connection to Cascades West Transit and Ride Options, aka CW Ride  (https://cwride.org) and the Transit App.

CWRide.org focuses on more easily connecting passengers to their destination through improved  technology and support across all our regional transit agencies. Riders will be able to plan their trip,  see when the next bus is coming at each stop and identify connections across providers. The  technology include real-time Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) data, passenger predictions for bus  arrival times, an app, “Transit”, for riders to plan their regional trips on public transport and a  centralized website that incorporates all these features in one place. In addition to the digital  features, OCWCOG offers travel training services. Travel Training helps riders expand their ability to  ride the bus safely and reliably, by working one on one with an experienced transit rider.

The Transit App is an easy and FREE way to help you plan your trip and find your bus location. Riders will be able to see when the next bus is coming at each stop, identify connections across  providers, and buy tickets on the website and associated smartphone applications. Download Transit  App today and start using it not just across our Linn, Benton and Lincoln County region but it can be  used in over 871 metropolitan areas across 25 countries.

The Philomath Connection (PC) is a fareless transit system and provides service in and between  the cities of Philomath and Corvallis, with stops at OSU. The PC is equipped with a ramp that can be  used by individuals in wheelchairs or those that have difficulty climbing stairs. It has a bicycle rack  for up to two adult bicycles, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The PC does not run on Sundays, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,  Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Cascades West Transportation Options also has information on connecting community members  with finding carpool partners, creating van pools; and by registering with Get There Oregon, you are  automatically enrolled in the Emergency Ride Home program, so you’ll never be left stranded.
